These strengths help reduce the untimely deaths that can surprise low level parties, but this should be considered when creating appropriate challenges for the player characters. Birthsigns include powerful features that characters gain access to, which makes them slightly more capable at 1st level than with characters built from the standard Player's Handbook. Each of the classes, races, and backgrounds have been tailored to suit Tamriel, including some attributes, and birthsigns have been added to character creation. Although it is a very similar conversion, there are some differences. This conversion project maintains many elements from D&D Fifth Edition, and assumes that the players and the Dungeon Master have a basic understanding of the game.
